Review Of The Range Of Pressure Washers From Hozelock

There are so many jobs around the house and garden that are made much easier if you use a pressure washer. Cleaning tools, bikes and barbecues is easy. So is removing the winter build-up of mould and algae on hard landscaping and decks to make them smart and safe in the Spring. The range of presssure washers from Hozelock are turning out to be very popular with homeowners. What exactly is that range, and why are they so well received?

There are three models in the range, with operating pressures of 100, 130 and 150 bar. They have correspondingly increasing rates of water delivery and are suitable for increasingly tough jobs.

All the washers have certain features in common:-

• The attachments are neatly stowed on the washer when not in use
• Wheels to make moving around the garden easy – no lifting necessary
• All have detergent reservoir(s)
• The Total Stop System disengages the pump when the trigger is released. This saves water and electricity and also improves safety

Hozelock Pressure Washer 100 bar

This model would be great for small cleaning jobs such as garden tools, furniture and barbeques. Steps, paths and small areas of paving should be cleaned easily, although large areas might be a problem.

The design is very compact, but still incorporates storage for all the attachments on tha back of the unit. Anybody who has had to put a pressure washer and all its tools and hoses back into its box after use will see how useful that would be.

The lance clips into place and doubles as a towing handle – you just wheel the washer back to the garage.

The operating pressure of 100 bar is plenty for most jobs, and is impressive for such a portable and compact pressure washer. This model would be ideal for the small to average garden.

Hozelock Pressure Washer 130 bar

If you have larger areas to deal with - larger patios or decking - the more powerful 130 would be preferable. It would probably be better for car cleaning as well .

It shares the same convenience features as the 100, but has a fixed handle so it can be more easily moved around while in use – you can see the advantage when cleaning a larger area. The attachments can still be clipped to the unit for storage after use.

The more powerful 1700 watt motor delivers more water at a higher pressure. The pressure hose is 2 metres longer.

This looks to be a great mid-sized pressure washer that should cope with most challenges you can throw at it.

Hozelock Pressure Washer 150 bar

The heavy-duty 150 bar washer is the top of the range. It's designed for large jobs such as sizeable patios and terraces, also cars and caravans. Of course it will still cope with the smaller jobs around the garden. It's just as transportable as the other models in the range .

It’s noticeably heavier at 19 kg, which is to be expected really. However with the fixed handle and large wheels this shouldn’t be a problem at all.

The pressure hose is kept on an integral reel in the unit and can be extended as you need, up to 8 metres in length. Great for avoiding tangles and risky loops of hose.

There are two separate detergent tanks, so you can use different detergents, switch between the tanks and even control the rate of flow of the solution to suit the job in hand.

The working pressure of 150 bar will move almost any grime and residue. This is a washer that should cope with every demand you can make of it; a seriously nice piece of kit.

Can you ride a skateboard without a wheel washer?

I have 1 missing washer on the inside part of the wheel on one wheel, the other side of the wheel has a washer but not the inside; can I still ride with screwing up my wheels?

yeah you can still ride although, the bearings will just rub against the trucks which will damage the bearing
