What are the Top 5 moves that seemed to have disappeared from wrestling?
Either no longer used or rarely done right?
My list would be
5 Atomic drop- Shawn Michaels is the only one I can think of who does it commonly
4 Abdominal Stretch- it even disappeared from Ric Flair's matches toward the end of his career.
3 Test of strength/Offering Handshake- was there any better way for a heel to gain the upper hand, other than cheap shotting a face for falling more this move?
2 Corner 10-punch/turnbuckle 10-head smash- You can't deny that at one time or another, that you too didn't count along out loud, and secretly hoped for the "forbidden" 11th punch.
1 Backslide Pin- Was probably the best way to finish a great back-and-forth match without making either wrestler look more dominant or weaker; great setup to a return match later on.
I agree with you on those moves nearly disappearing.
However, there are a couple of moves that seemed to have disappeared before some of those. The Back Rake and the Eye Rake are two moves that have seem to have disappeared and been forgotten (Hollywood Hulk Hogan used to do them a lot). The Mounted Armbar is barely used as well.
