Then use one of the wires to tie it to one of the terminals of the VOM.
Check the readings; it should be within the ranges of 12 ohms. If the range is higher, this indicates that your heater requires replacement. If the voltage line is 110 volts, it should come up to 8.4 ohms. Nevertheless if the reading is normal, the electric dryer is stuck and requires a substitute part. You will have to take off the top and the rear of the dryer in order to replace the heater.
When repairing the dryer wiring, remove the screws and the wires which are in a duct position. Once heater compartment is taken out from the dryer, remove the screws which hold the heater in the duct. Put the new heater back and properly screw and wires back as they were before.

General cost of modding a NERF longstrike?
I'm not looking to full out completely change my gun, but if I were to mod a nerf longstrike, about how much would it be? That includes:
Tools
Screws
Sandpaper
Paint
Puddy/Epoxy
Tape
Etc.
Again this will probably be a paint and maybe barrel mod, possibly some internals, but not a full out, like, replica of a real gun or something like that.
I do not recommend you modding the longstrike. It is very hard to mod (due to its reverse plunger firing system). You better of finding other nerf guns to modify.
