The Symptoms Of Hypertension: What To Look For.

Whether we visit our doctor for a sniffle or a cough, or something more serious, it's important to take control of our health. Cardiac disorders are the second leading cause of death worldwide and high blood pressure or "hypertension" as it is often called is invariably implicated at one level or another in cardiac related cases. If only we had an automatic defense to ward off high blood pressure; but fortunately there are many hints and indicators with which Nature has provided us and for those who may be suffering from hypertension, the warning signs are there for us to find if we take the trouble to look. Remember, high blood pressure, often called "the silent killer", arrives quietly and without drama so it simply makes sense to have regular blood pressure checkups.

• It is quite likely that at some time, you have experienced a waxing and waning dizzy sensation; perhaps better described as light headedness. This may be due simply to tiredness, which will pass once you’ve had a nap or a good night’s sleep but it may also be linked to hypertension; indeed there may be both factors present!

• Cognitive issues such as mild confusion and short term memory lapses could be a sign of hypertension, something which could be implicated in the early stage in development of vascular dementia.

• Ear canal problems have also been implicated in causing hypertension but then again, perhaps it is one or the other or a combination of the two! As it happens, I have personally been diagnosed with both and after undergoing a specialist cardiac investigation and later, tests by an audiologist, I now have it under control!

• Genetics – Your ethnicity may play a role in the development of high blood pressure, as well as your own family background A tough deal perhaps as you can’t choose your family but help is available.

• Hardened arteries have been shown to be a cause of hypertension. To complicate the matter, the presence of hypertension has also been shown to be a cause of hardening of the arteries. You will come across explanations on both fronts! Reference is made to some other potential repercussions of hardening of the arteries later in this article.

• Blurring of sight and “floaters” can also be a related to high blood pressure

• Random, intermittent nosebleeds may happen without any obvious reason particularly if we have not taken a knock to the nose or suffer from any allergies affecting the nose but nosebleeds can certainly be a warning symptom of hypertension.

• Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is a problem affecting many people but it has also been associated with hypertension.

• Another symptom of high blood pressure is experiencing breathing difficulties when lying down.

• Shortness of breath during regular daily routines as in walking, climbing from the bath, climbing even a short flight of stairs.

• It is not the purpose of this article to lecture you so I have left this to the end and it will be mentioned just the once. High blood pressure and smoking are inseparably linked. The nicotine content raises your blood pressure, reduces your "good" HDL cholesterol, reduces the oxygen level in your blood and heightens the possibility of blood clots and all the potentially dreadful consequences they can bring about including heart attack and stroke. The good news is that within of stopping smoking, your blood pressure and heart rate will start to decrease. Right; I’ve had my say!

The purpose of this article has been to alert you to the dangers of having high blood pressure and in that respect, I believe this has been achieved. There are of course other symptoms of hypertension but but the above are some of the most common.

The bottom line is clearly a no-brainer - have regular blood pressure check-ups! It is too easy to miss the symptoms but it only takes a minute to have your blood pressure checked and without wanting to sound melodramatic, could save you from a premature death or at the very least improve the quality of your life. A simple trip to your physician or the practice nurse is all you need do or make it even easier in the longrun and buy your own home blood pressure monitor and do your whole family a favour at the same time.

Does the L4VXA2 motherboard call for High Density or Low Density RAM?

Basically that. I'm running a desktop with PC3200 RAM but I'm not sure if it calls for Low Density or High Density RAM and I really need some RAM. Badly. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the popular ECS workhorse. We had one of those in one of our computers. I know for sure that you can put a 512 MB stick in it, because that's what we had. And there are 3 slots, so that would be 1.5 GB. According to this site, ECS taiwan http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=343&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=24&LanID=0 , the board revision c is supposed to take 1 GB sticks for a total of 3 GB, but I have never actually tried it.

You want unbuffered, non-registered, non-ecc ram, of course.

Tokyo Motor Show: Daihatsu Presents Three Super-Cute Electric Prototypes (Green Options)

Daihatsu is the oldest Japanese automaker, but I know it mainly as the one who
makes all the little kei cars – you know, the “light motor vehicles” with
engines up to 660cc and 64HP that go 60mph with a strong tailwind and get
50mpg running around heavy city traffic. I used to have a [...]Related posts:
