Duke Among Final Four Teams, NCAA Breathes Sigh Of Relief
Duke, West Virginia, Butler and Michigan State are your Final Four teams for 2010. For all the NCAA bracket experts, that's two five seeds, an upstart two seed, and a one seed. Even the autistic kid's bracket is busted by now since this is the first time since 2000 that a team lower than four seed has made it this far. These Final Four teams nearly gave the NCAA a massive coronary, because the NCAA depends upon March Madness for more than 90 percent of its annual revenue, according to the San Jose-Mercury News. Luckily, Duke brings a small bit of name recognition to basketball brining in fan flocks, so the bigwigs can rest easy. In a TV contract negotiation year, no less, there should be a move in merchandise and massive television ratings. Without Duke, there will be no big bargaining chips and a need for money lenders.
Catch the Final Four teams with the Final Four schedule
All Final Four teams will play Saturday, April 3 on March Madness on Demand online or on CBS. The winners of those two games will play in a championship game on Monday, April 5, which also happens to be the first day of the Major League Baseball season. The NCAA Championship game will again be playing on March Madness On Demand and on CBS. Games are typically held in the early evening, particularly the championship game, but the exact start times have not been announced. You will need to check your local listings!
The Final Four teams - things to watch out for
1. Butler will get to play just 15 minutes away from their home campus. The "Gonzaga" of the Horizon conference should not be a shock to anyone for they placed among the Final Four teams, especially since they are riding a 24-game winning streak.
2. Ton Izzo is an ace coach and North Carolina beat Michigan State in last year's championship. This also shouldn't be a surprise.
3. Since 1959, this is the first Final Four appearance being made by West Virginia. That was when the famous basketball alum, "Mr. Clutch" Jerry West was still lacing them. The maverick among the Final Four teams for 2010 is the real bracket buster. They always win, whether it is pretty or not. Luckily, Da'Sean Butler is an amazing scorer.
4. Duke is well-coached, plays smart basketball and has a great deal of ability. Coach Krzyzewski learned the trade from Bobby Knight, a drill sergeant in coach's clothing. His players ought to apply for military payday loans since they'd probably qualify. That's what makes them the favorite here, although they can be exploited somewhat by more athletic teams. Will the other Final Four teams be able to wear Duke down?
Can anyone tell me how to paint CNC 7075 T6 aluminum.?
I want to paint a shock tower from my RC 1/8 Nitro buggie and i`m not sure how to go about it. Info from someone that know`s how to paint alum. would be great.
Thank`s
I want to change the color`s
Aluminum can be painted, as nearly all airplanes are painted. The aluminum alloy 7075 is highly susceptible to corrosion, unlike 6061 and the 3000 series alloys of aluminum.
Since aluminum oxidizes instantly with contact with air, a film of oxidization is on the surface and paint won't stick very well to it. You need to prep the surface by cleaning it, using an aluminum prepping chemical and by scuff sanding it. Anything that is super slick or shiny has a tough time holding paint. Scuff sanding gives the paint something to stick to.
The best way to paint it, would be to scuff sand it with fine sandpaper or a Scotchbrite pad. Immediately rinse it well with solvent such as acetone or MEK. Once the solvent is dry, either dip the part in or wipe the part with alodine. (available online or at your local airport) If it's a small part, which yours is, then just soak it in alodine for 10-15 minutes and rinse it well with water. Don't allow greasy fingers to touch it once it's cleaned and alodined.
Prime it with an epoxy based primer and paint it as desired once the primer is cured.
Now, since you don't want to spend all that time and money to do it right, then just scuff sand the tower very well so that every little part is scuffed. Clean it with acetone or alcohol, let it dry and spray paint it to the desired color with acrylic enamel paint.
One other method to change the color is to take it to an anodizing shop. Anodizing is a type of chemical plating for certain metals (aluminum, magnesium, titanium), and they can mix a batch for just about any color you like. That will probably cost a ton of money for one little part though.
Have fun!
Colby Donaldson talks Top Shot spin-off, Jake, and the show's surprising challenge (Realityblurred)
**Top Shot** ends its third season tonight, and I talked to both host Colby
Donaldson, the Survivor alum, and the show's executive producer about the
History Channel series. It is spawning a a spin-off, and also faces an unusual
challenge, balancing competition and the real-life drama that turns off some
viewers.
I first talked to Colby about hosting in the summer of 2010, when he talked
about emulating Jeff Probst. And while there are still some similarities,
Colby has absolutely come into his own as a bad-ass host. "I think season one
I was feeling the pressure because it was my first hosting gig," he told me.
"It's become more fun for me because I no longer get nervous."
My favorite line of Colby's this season was when he told the competitors, "You
are fucked today." He told me that "the funny part about that comment ... that
was an offhand comment that wasn't even supposed to make it on film. I'm just
having a conversation with them. I couldn't pass up the irony" that they'd be
shooting the longest-range weapon in 65 MPH winds. "I never in a million years
thought it would make ...
